Creating art and sharing it with others is something I love to do although, card making was not on the top of that list until recently. I often dreaded purchasing cards to accompany gifts I spent a lot of thought and time on. At one point I gave up on cards all together because I felt, finding a personalized card to fit the person in mind was a daunting task. Whether the words weren’t quite right or the colors didn’t quite fit; I often found myself picturing a card in a whole different light. Maybe I would add a little color here and change a few words there; either way I ended up with an image in my head of a You-nique card that didn't even exist…until now.
Like other cards makers, I take pride in what I do and enjoy sharing my creativity with others. When a new card is created, a new technique is discovered. Whether a veteran or a novice to the craft, you will always have a new idea to share, that someone has never thought of before. When creating my cards I use card stock for the base and add accent colors, words and or designs with lighter weight paper and/or rubber stamps. Embossing is a sure way to make a card stand out as well as embellishments like brads, ribbons, eyelets, fabric-like flowers and even colored staples. When visiting my site you can expect to see a variety of cards and soon to come, invitations. I included Birthday, Friendship and Congratulations cards under Gallery 1. Gallery 2 includes Sympathy, Get Well, Thank You and 'Love' cards. 'Love' cards will include Anniversary and 'Just Because' cards (Valentines Day will be under Holidays). A separate Holiday category will be updated as they are made. Please visit my Personal Request page where you and I create cards together!
Ordering invitations and other large quantity order:
Whether you want to order invitations, thank you cards or any large quantity order, I request the date you want them completed. I will create a couple samples and send an image of them to your email. This is when you choose one of the samples or request changes to be made. When we both agree on the design you want I will complete the rest of your order and send them out by the date you originally requested. There is no set shipping cost therefore, it will be discussed after I have a better understanding of the type of design you are looking for and before I start your request.
Be assured, I will not fill any requests I feel I cannot complete on time. I work alone therefore, the more notice I have the more likely I will be able to fill your order. Working alone has its ups and downs but the quality of work will never change. Cards, as well as card designs, are limited so if you see something you like grab it while you can. Recreating a card close to its original is often possible so please email me with your request. You-niquely Yours will be updated with new cards as they are created so please continue to check back.
Shipping:
Excluding invitations, a shipping fee will apply as followed:
1-10 cards $2.50
11-20 cards $3.50
20 and up is $4.50
*Shipping fees for customized invitations will be discussed when you place your order.
